Failure to Launch
Thank God for Kathy
Bates, that's all I can say. The premise of this film is
ridiculous even for such a comedy. Sar J (Sarah Jessica
Parker) plays a motivator who fakes relationships with grown men
to help their parents get them out of the house.
Of course, she
falls for Matthew McConaughey's character and while the on
screen chemistry is there, the entire story of the film doesn't
quite click. Some things are too absurd and are not
resolved.
Sar J is MUCH
better than this film. However, Matthew McConaughey is
not. This is typical fare for him. Movies like
this is what Netflix is all about.
